MALUM
My final project at Minshar School of Art
Evil is a complex concept. We easily define people or things as evil or bad, and we use this word on a daily basis. On the other hand, when getting to the bottom of the concept, there is no consensus regarding its meaning and there is no one single definition. People, cultures and different eras have different definitions of evil. As humans, we classify the things around us as good or bad, but since there is no clear definition, how can we tell if our classification is correct? The purpose of this book is to try to define something that is explained intuitively and non accurately. The book is ordered alphabetically, so that each letter represents a value that offers interpretation, explanation or an example to the essence of evil and its origins according to different approaches and points of view.
Malum was chosen as one of the best final projects of 2019 by Portfolio magazine.
